I made these two little journals ages ago and uncovered them after the move. Thought I'd start working in the little one I made out of an Anthropologie catalog. It might make me create pages in a different way since the paper is so thin and the format is so small. Could be fun...
I am not an adherent of that mixed-up-body-parts Frankenstein-style collage technique, but this torso was just calling out for an ill-fitting bust on the facing page, so I had to oblige.
Did I mention how much I love Fall? It's the best season of the year in DC, weather-wise. We went apple picking! I mean...pickin'!
On the home front, I managed to re-upholster the seat of this dining chair all by myself. It's leathery pleather. Fabric would have been easier but I like to keep it challenging. Who wants to go easy on themselves when trying something for the first time? Not me! Seriously, I'm having a really hard time figuring out how to do the back piece. It's been taunting me.

ReplyDeleteThanks Emily! The chair is vintage Danish--probably from Scan Furniture, but not sure. I bought it (as a part of a whole dining set) from some good friends who were up-sizing for $50! Yes! definitely let me know if you are in the vicinity (I'll do the same), or even as far as Baltimore! ;) xo K
