Paint is Great

Good morning, friends!

A little bit of paint can make such a difference!  We switched up the wall colors in some more rooms in the new house.
Apparently, I am not a yellow bathroom kind of girl either.  This yellow actually looked much worse in here than it did in the kitchen.  It's crazy how different a color looks in different lighting.  It looked even worse in person than in this photo.
I was going to put up a neutral taupe or gray in here, but since my intention is to eventually put up wallpaper in this guest bathroom, went with a safe white.  It's Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore.  Flat.  I know you're supposed to do semi-gloss in here, but I hate it.  Oh, and don't be fooled by the sink vanity.  It. Is. Not. Good.  Our house inspector aptly described it in his report as "amateurish." It's a total Monet, but functional, and it's only a guest bath, so it's nowhere near the top of my list of projects.

We also changed up the master bedroom.  The ceiling and walls were painted the same color so it felt like a baby blue cave.  The light blue was not offensive, but seemed a little juvenile to me.
We went with Benjamin Moore's Stonington Gray on the walls and Chantilly Lace on the ceiling.  I love this gray so much!
It's such a great neutral.  Not at all lavender or brown like some grays are.

The people who used to live here must have really loved blue.  We decided to take it deeper in the Mister's office with Benjamin Moore's Westcott Navy that looks navy, gray, and black, depending on the light.  I'm loving this color too.  It's hard to get an accurate shot of it with my iPhone.
Gilly and the Mister are hiding (not very successfully) in here.  Those curtains were left by the previous owners.  I know they're too short.  I'll probably make him some new ones one of these days.

See you soon!
